FAQ:
What do I wear?
Each day, please refrain from wearing apparel from past or present dance organizations (inlcuding but not limited to old F2B gear, DAS, high school drill team, etc). For hip hop, wear comfortable clothing and non-marking shoes (no combat boots). You will be asked to dance barefoot if you are wearing shoes that leave a mark on the floor. For lyrical, wear form-fitting clothes that are not too revealing. You are welcome to wear foot undies or rolled back socks. For tryout day, wear all black clothes. Shoes can be any color, as long as they're comfortable.

Do I need to choreograph anything?
No. You do not need to have anything choreographed. We teach you everything that you will tryout for; however, there is a short freestyle part (1-2 8 counts) at the beginning or end of each dance. This is your chance to show us your style, personality, and special abilities such as tumbling or breakdancing.

Can I practice/listen to music while I'm waiting and others are trying out?
Those waiting to audition may not listen to any ipods or music players while waiting. Also, once tryouts begin, auditionees are not permitted to practice the dance because it is unfair to those who have to auditioned before others.

About how many tryout at once?
This depends on the number of people trying out. It will be groups of 4 people at a time. Only the judges and 4 dancers will be present in the room during auditions.

Who are the judges?
The judges will consist of the President, Vice-President, Director of Dance, Assistant Director of Dance.

Can friends come and watch?
No. The tryouts will be closed.

How many are we taking?
We take as many dancers as we feel deserve to make it. Even members that have been on the team before have to tryout again, so everyone is starting with a clean slate. Our team is usually around 55 members, but that is not a set number.

How much are dues?
$65 for this fall semester.

Will members who are already on the team be at tryouts?
No. All members must reaudition each school year so it will just be the officers and those auditioning.

Will I need dance experience?
No dance experience is required. We love to see people with potential and personality. Show us that you are willing to learn and improve your dance ability. Once you make it on F2B, you get exponentially better learning from others. The more you put into it, the more you get out.

Who can be on the team?
ONLY A&M Students and Blinn Team may actually audition and make the team. Members can be undergraduate or graduate students.
